I strongly believe that you shouldn't give in too easily.
And I always feel inspired by the quote here above, saying you can always just change your sails to get wherever you want to be ..
I do think that from time to time you should just go directly into the wind!
Multiple interpretations to this quote
To me, this quote is open for interpretation and almost adjustable to your personal situation. How, you'll ask?
Here's how I see it.
1) Overcome the struggle and make it happen
Within the context of exercise and a 180¨degrees lifestyle-change "wind" stands for the challenges you're facing making that change and "sails" stands for your
Since the journey to your fittest self is long and holds a lot of obstacles & challenges, it's important that you adjust your sails along the way to make sure that the wind doesn't blow you off course.
What I mean is that you will face multiple situations in which you'll feel like giving up or you will start to curse the one who invented that a day only counts 24-hours. But don't let those moments discourage you.
Adjust your sails and use this extra wind to get you where you want to be and you will reach your fit-goals for s(ho)ure. Planning = key!

2) Ignore the naysayers .. do it for you!
On the other hand, there are moments when you should just change the wind instead of your sails!
In this respect "wind" stands for the naysayers .. the people that keep convincing you that you won't succeed. And "sails" stands for your fit-goals & motivation.
Nobody has the right to bring you down so don't let them!
In my opinion, the only reason some people are making others feel inferior is because they feel insecure themselves. 'Cause if you honestly feel happy with the way your life is today and how you look, feel, ... then why the hell would you make anyone feel insecure or less important?
Just don't let someone who's unhappy her/himself or who's given up on her/his own dream make you let go of yours as well
Keep your sails just the way they are and stay on course! Because with the right crew and proper organization you will beat the wind and reach your destination!
